Letter to NIC Partners Customers
Last Friday, the state of California enacted a “stay at home” order in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. Our Governor, Gavin Newsom ordered all Californians to stay home unless they are an essential worker in one of 16 critical infrastructure sectors. I’d like to assure you that as a communications and information technology provider, NIC Partners is classified as an “essential service” and will continue operating throughout this period.
The continuity of operations in the critical infrastructure sectors that we serve is paramount – so we will be here to serve our education, healthcare and government clients as always. Our field services technicians and engineers will remain available to our customers to help them meet their changing technology needs. Our Managed Services department is also available to supplement your technology team as they are required to do more with less.
Our field staff are following CDC guidelines – with social distancing, regular handwashing, and equipment cleaning and disinfecting. We have emphasized to them that safety is paramount – both yours and theirs. As such, we continue to implement strict precautionary measures in accordance with public health requirements to reduce risk to all who are still working during these challenging times to keep their organizations operational.
Before I close, I’d like to draw your attention to the importance of your VPN security. With the exponential increase in remote workers, it’s more important than ever before that your VPN is patched and up-to-date. Cisco is currently offering a free license to help secure VPNs for remote users which we’d be happy to help you implement. Just email sales@nicpartnersinc.com or reach out to your account manager. You can read more about this and other services we can help you with here, here and here.
Likewise, if this new work and learning situation leads you to discover deficiencies in your infrastructure, we are here to help you augment and upgrade your technologies. Our education clients might also find that empty buildings provide the unanticipated opportunity to develop plans for a more efficient and secure environment.
Your business has always been important to us but it is even more so now. We will continue to do everything we can to provide you with the best possible service during these very challenging times.
Please stay safe and well and don’t hesitate to let me know if there is anything we can do to help you.
